Frequently asked Questions

It's common to have questions before you begin a new coaching journey. Read our most frequently asked ones below.

Humanistic Coaching is rooted in the tenants of positive psychology with a focus on developing self-efficacy. It prioritizes incremental performance goals and general competency goals over results goals, with happiness and self-actualization serving as guiding indicators. Simply put: Where are you now in relation to a specific challenge, what is your ideal end-state goal, and what are the steps we can take to get you there?

The dynamic between coach and client isn’t rooted in psychoanalysis or diagnosis. A coach works with you to address an existing problem in your life by reframing that challenge as a goal and by helping you take measurable steps toward achieving that goal.

With that in mind, coaching is something that should be viewed as complementary to therapeutic psychological treatment, as opposed to being considered competing.

My mission is to help men in their 30s and 40s who are struggling with career setbacks and who are trying to develop life skills and routines that will have a healthier impact on their personal relationships and overall mental well-being.

With that in mind, developing new routines is hard work that requires accountability, honesty in the form of constructive feedback, and emotional support. This is where I come in.
